MØJØ is an award-winning projection-mapping studio working across motion for large surfaces. Since 2018, we have been working at the intersection of computer-generated imagery (CGI), scenography, and presentation engineering. Our work comprises research and design, previz, and on-site calibration, and has taken effective shape both from a distance and from close quarters. We treat architecture as a stage for storytelling, in which stages, facades, and public devices are meaning surfaces. In this manner, content and support converse with one another, which introduces the storytelling capability of our projects. Our projects, whether commissioned or in-house created, incorporate 3D pipelines, motion, and high-performance playback systems. Throughout the process, we have established curatorial principles: clarity, rhythm, and impact. We prefer fewer, more dedicated projects with leaner teams, and decisions respectful of the site, from pixel mapping to dramaturgy. Through becoming familiar with the areas of intersection between different disciplines and being in close contact with our partners, we ensure an open, iterative process that is accountable for big-picture outcomes. Altogether, we approach every project as a system in itself, where each step is a unique journey through its development.
